January 24, is the 38th birthday of Kader Babu, a storyteller, publisher, and journalist. He has been associated with the field of writing and culture since childhood. He was born on 24 January 1984 in Rasulpur village of Bhitarband union of Nageshwari in Kurigram district. The late father Abdul Hakim, mother Rabeya Begum. He started writing in 1995 through the daily Juger Alo. Since then he has been writing more or less regularly. He has been writing for various daily, weekly, and fortnightly magazines. ‘Misti Prem dot com’ is his first rhyme book. He also wrote the storybooks ‘Bhauter Bandhu Tut’, ‘Poribager Pori’ and the children’s rhyme book ‘Megh Chhutite Latim Fute’. Her recent career and business book, 200 Business Ideas: Bekar Noy Bebsayee Hon, is published in Corona. The author said that a new edition is going to be published due to the wide response of the book.
‘Bangladesher Lekhok Directory’ is his single basic editing work. In addition, the solo edited science fiction story of `Bangladesher Chirokalin Mojar Chhoora’. Co-edited Bangladesher Sera Chhora, Bangladesher Sera Golpo, Bangladesher Bhalobashar Chhora, Bangladesher Valentine Chhora etc. In recognition of his writing, he received the Rangdhanu Tarun Chharakar Award in 2016.
Has been involved in journalism for more than 18 Years. He has worked at various times in Daily Ittefaq, Daily Samakal, Arthanity Protidin, Weekly Khoborer Antorale, Fortnightly Ananda Alo, Parjatan Bichitra, Weekly Boichitra, Monthly Madina.
He has also worked in online news portals Nayajug and Banglamail24.com. He has been working for the first e-book company in Bangladesh, Sheibai.com since its inception. He is currently the Special Correspondent of the Daily Amar Somoy and also the Editor of the Chhora Ananda and the Literary Paper Babui. Kader Babu is also the editor-publisher of Babui, a children’s publishing house.
